In response to the reopening of Maryland salons, one of our top priorities is to make this transition in creating new norms in the salon culture as smooth as possible. It is our priority to keep us all safe and healthy as we resume our service offerings at Olaitin Olay Hair Lounge.

In moving forward, in addition to our current policies(booking guidelines and policies), we have updated our policies and procedures to provide a clean and secure environment that seeks to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus and any other contagions. The terms of this update are as follows: 

​

• You will be required to complete a screening questionnaire before appointment is booked.(If any of the conditions apply to you, we ask that you not proceed to booking an appointment).

​

• You will be required to complete a screening questionnaire and  sign a Liability Waiver 24 hrs prior to your scheduled appointment.(link to waiver will be included in your appointment reminder email).

​

• When you arrive for your appointment, please text 443-873-0581 informing us of your arrival (include name and appointment time). You must wait in your car until you are called or texted to come in for your appointment.

​

• You must bring a face mask with you and wear the face mask during the entire session. 

​

• Personal belongings are limited to 1 item(purse, laptop, etc).

​

• You must allow us to sanitize your personal belonging as you enter our salon suite or you may leave item in your car.

​

• Your temperature will be checked upon arrival. Anyone with a reading of 99.0F or higher will have their appointment rescheduled.

​

• After your temperature check, you must wash hands with soap and warm water for no less than 20 seconds before being seated.

​

• If wearing gloves, they must be switched out after every surface touch and you still have to wash your hands upon being seated. 

​

• We ask that you limit conversations and only discuss topics related to your hair.

​

• Client visitors/guests will not be allowed into our salon suite.

​

• We ask that parents who are bringing their children to be serviced, to wait in their car until service is completed. 

​

• Final payments; At this time a cashless system is preferred but not mandatory. We can charge the card you have saved on file or add a new card. A $5 charge will incur.

During your session, we will adhere to the following procedures:

​

• Daily temperature checks.

​

• We will wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while conducting your service.

​

• We will wash our hands with soap and warm water for no less than 20 seconds between each client. 

​

• To the extent possible, disposable items will be used.

​

• Capes will only be used for cutting or coloring and will be thoroughly sanitized with a CDC solution and set for 5 minutes before placement on the next client. 

​

• Door knobs will be disinfected after every client’s passing.

​

• Tools, product containers, stations, chairs, and dryers will be disinfected after every client. 

​

• Limiting conversations and only discussing topics related to your hair.

​

• We will temporarily suspend our complimentary snacks with the exception of water.

LIABILITY WAIVER

​

I am aware that I am entering this public establishment at my own risk. I am also aware that Olaitin Olay Hair Lounge is not liable for any possible exposure that I may have with any surface or individual(s) that may be contagious with COVID-19 coronavirus or any other infection or disease. I fully comply with and understand that before any service may be performed, I agree to the following:

• To cancel or reschedule my appointment within 24hrs if I am not feeling well for any reason, or if i have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days. Or if I have any reason to believe that I have or have had the Coronavirus within the last 14 days.

​

• To allow a check of my temperature upon my arrival to the salon and allow my appointment to be cancelled/rescheduled if my temperature reads over 99.0F.

​

• To supply and wear my own personal protective equipment such as face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer.

​

• To agree to any and all charges that are charged by Olaitin Olay Hair Lounge for failing to sign this waiver or failing to cancel/reschedule per policy or for any no call/no shows.

​

• To agree to waive and not pursue any claim against Olaitin Olay Hair Lounge should I experience any Coronavirus symptoms or test positive for Coronavirus after receiving service from the salon.

​

• I will adhere to health and safety procedures as suggested by Olaitin Olay Hair Lounge, the CDC, and my local health department.
